Anne Nelson is an award-winning author and journalist. She published the book Shadow Network: Media, Money, and the Secret Hub of the Radical Right in 2019, laying out the foundations of the MAGA movement. Her book has served as a prime source for the documentary Bad Faith, and has been cited in the Washington Post, National Public Radio, and numerous interviews and podcasts. A starred review in Publishers Weekly called it "explosive, comprehensive...an absolutely momentous piece of investigative journalism." Nelson's previous books include Red Orchestra (a New York Times Editors Choice) and Suzanne's Children (finalist in the National Jewish Book Awards), dealing with anti-Nazi resistance movements in Berlin and Occupied Paris. Nelson taught at Columbia University for over twenty years, and is currently a research scholar at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs. She is a native of Oklahoma and a graduate of Yale University.
